Will this combo work? - 2009/06/14 12:38 O Mac Gurus - please bear with me on this question if it's too noobish, I have 20+ years of experience with PC's but only a few months with Macs, having purchased a used PowerMac G4 (this model with the VGA/DVI port card). I recently bought a beautiful 15" flat-screen Apple display at a yard sale; its connector is shown here. After the fact, I realized that this monitor isn't going to connect to this G4; I'm not knowledgable enough about this system yet to know for sure but will a new video card such as the one shown here work with my computer and allow me to use that monitor?

The monitor does not have a power cable - would it be able to pull power from my G4 with this card?

ADDENDUM: This appears to be the monitor I bought, though I can't see its connector in the photo.

Thanks to all in advance.
Thanks, Anna
