Pismo booting issues - 2008/09/30 08:04
My Pismo is acting weird
First it wouldn't boot..unless i removed the battery and AC power, pressed the power button a few times to discharge the board. Then reconnecting the AC it would boot up. I wouldnt do this until after i'd removed the PRAM..
I've since bought a new PRAM and it's still doing the same damn thing..
Press the reset button at the back of the laptop, press the power button and up it will boot..From this point on it will reboot from shut down. But once i shut it down and remove the AC and try booting from battery. It refuses to power up. IF i reconnect the mains, it makes no difference. Until i press the reset. After which, if i press the power button a couple of times. It boots.
I've removed the processor board and given it a clean, i've checked the diagnostic in system profiler and it says PASSED.
Does anyone have any clues?
Thanks
