Re:Dead Pismo....... - 2008/03/10 06:14Dear macnut944, I have five "dead" prismo as "throw out from a school here and everyone of them had the same symptoms as yours. The answer to your problem is the PRAM battery,everytime (mostly). To fix this problem access the PRAM battery(remove K/B first )unplug the small connector of the PRAM battery then lay the K/B back into place and press the start button (with P/supply in place and on). Sit back and watch your prismo boot as it should and then after booting is complete lay open the K/B and reconnect PRAM lead and "recharging" commences ,or so it has for me (five times in a row). As the odds of this being a fluke are unlikely then this seems to be the answer. Please give it a go and tell us your results as I'm sure your prismo will to. Mick. PS are prismo batteries and power supplies any cheaper in the States then they are here? Batteries here are about $95-$150 P/Supplies are $40.00
