Newbee, thinking of buying a Mac Pro - 2007/12/12 16:49 Ok guys, I need a little help.

I am thinking about buying a Mac Pro or maybe an iMac.

I have been using MS products since DOS 6.?. It has been my experiance that when I start to use a windows machine (98, XP, Vista), it works great for a while (maybe 4 or 5 months) and then it starts to get flakey. It will lock up, slow down, lockup apps, etc. At that point the only thing that will fix it is the reload the OS and reinstall all the apps. Which is a pain.

Now I am pretty hard on a system. I tend to run a lot of apps and have a lot of different apps open at the same time. I also install and uninstall a lot of apps just to test them out for my company.

Here is my question. Is the Mac going to be any different? Will I have to constantly be reinstalling or does it just work better?

Thanks
Chesb
