Disk drives question - 2006/09/02 18:49 I have a question, however stupid it may be. I have never been able to use a Mac Pro, (Man, i hope they build that apple store here!) but i would like to know, what dvd standards will the MP support in the future? Will it be configurable with a Blu-Ray drive, or an HD-DVD drive? Is it configurable with one of these right now? If so, which one? I know i will still never, may i emphasize that, NEVER, be able to afford one of these speed demons, but I still am curious.

Re:Disk drives question - 2006/09/03 09:42 Hi Ed,

These questions are covered in the Mac Pro Q&A.

In particular, refer to "What options are available for the second 'optical drive bay' on the Mac Pro?" This answer also references "Will Apple support HD-DVD or Blu-ray on the Intel-based Macs?" for more details.

I hope this is helpful.

Best wishes,

Brock
