Maximum amount of ram 12" 1.33 ghz powerbook - 2006/08/09 18:56I've been using unix based OS's for about 8 years now, and I just recently became very interested in OSX and Apple. (Another Linux to mac convert :P) Anyways I bought a 12" 1.33 ghz superdrive powerbook off of ebay today for 600$, (I know sweet deal huh lol.) Anyways I have a desktop that died on me in my possesion with a gig of pc2100 in it, I think the laptop will support up to 1.25 gigs of ram (coreect me if im wrong.) But hey if I can just stick that working gig of pc2100 in there that would be sweet, then I can buy a 7200 rpm drive with my extra money (and start disassembly :P).

Re:Maximum amount of ram 12" 1.33 ghz powerbook - 2008/03/27 14:37Hi. I believe the 12" 1.33GHz only takes the PC2700 (333MHz) DDR SDRAM chip. I think the last 12" to use the PC2100 was the 1GHz model

Re:Maximum amount of ram 12" 1.33 ghz powerbook - 2008/03/29 09:07Yes. My 1.5 GHz PB 12" also has a 1.25 GB limit on RAM, and that's just plain too bad, cause 1.25 GB is not enough to have the computer run as efficiently as I want it to.
