Re:help, YM doesn't work - 2006/07/14 16:17 What you really need is OS X 10.2 for your iMac. OS 8.6 is getting increasingly hard to use online. OS 9 is a little better but OS X is the only way to go. It really is the best thing since sliced bread yaknow.......

Put OS X on your iMac (128MB RAM at least) and your Mac experience will be so much better. And you will have a lot less problems finding compatible applications.

Re:help, YM doesn't work - 2006/07/15 09:15 Hi Krow,
Yes going to 10.x in the next thing on the list of thing to do for these
iMacs. I use Wamcom modded Mozilla 1.3.1 which seemd to run better
and faster than IE 5.1.7. I have'nt found 8.6 hard to use online at all.
But your right getting 10.x would be more up to date.

Re:help, YM doesn't work - 2006/08/01 18:40 Well I guess Yahoo does'nt want to do anything abot supporting YM
for 8.6, Have'nt heard from them in a week or so. the answer would
be to upgrade to 9.22 and see if that will work.

Yea, don't hold your breath on any answers from Yahoo.

There's not much being developed for pre-OSX browsers except for iCab. I was a diehard Wamcom user but I'm running into more problems online with Wamcom lately. Mozilla's site even refers users to iCab for pre-OSX Macs. My main Mac runs X but I have to use OS 9 once in a while and it's a pain. I've been giving the latest release of iCab and it seems good so far but I haven't used it all that much to say one way or another. It seems to crash/freeze less than Wamcom though.

Re:help, YM doesn't work - 2006/08/02 08:16 Yea even the Microsoft mac site send you to iCab, I have downloaded
it to try. Man I really need to get a newer iMac. Pulled out my old pm
6400/200 since the analog board died on one of my iMacs.
Man this bytes.
