PM G3 B/W won't boot into 9.1+ - 2006/07/28 14:59 Hi, I recently got a PowerMac G3 B/W 300MHz, installed OS 9.0.4 from my Full-Install CD and wanted to update to 9.1 (9.2.2 in the end) bt every time I install the update, it won't even show the happymac.
I get the mousecursor, but then it freezes!

I finally managed to get 10.3 running, but I need OS9 to run Cubase and a few plugins.
The PowerMac runs 8.6 perfectly.

Re:PM G3 B/W won't boot into 9.1+ - 2006/07/30 03:26 What are you running OSX or OS9? If you're trying to run both then you'll need to partion your HD and run an install CD that'll allow you to partion your HD.

Re:PM G3 B/W won't boot into 9.1+ - 2006/07/31 00:12 Does it run 9.0.4 ok ? Does it run Panther ok ?

How big is your hard drive ? The revision A boards had some issues with newer large drives. Anything larger than 12GB can be a problem from my experiences.
