Ibook cursor freezes on mains power - 2009/10/14 17:47 Can anyone offer some help please? I have an ibook g4 running OSX 10.5.8 and most of the time if I run the laptop off the mains supply the trackpad just doesn't work, plug in a usb mouse and it works fine.

If the machine is running off the battery it works fine without any problems. I've tried different power adaptors but to no avail. I've done a re-install of OSX but if it's a hardware issue why does it work perfectly on battery power? Oh I've tried different batteries as well in case there was some issues with that.

I know some early ibooks had trackpad issues but I thought they just packed up totally?
