Re:Mating a Mini and iMac G3 - 2009/10/12 20:27 Anything is possible but what you want to do is practically impossible. It will take a lot of work and possibly some homemade cables. Mini's use entirely different cables for optical and hard drives than a G4 Mac tower. A Mac Pro mobo will cost way too much money and will take a lot of case modding to get it to fit a G4. Then you will have serious cooling issues with the G4 case that is made for much cooler running CPU's.

It would be much easier and more feasible to build an X86 Intel hackintosh than to do what you propose.
