Upgrading my G4 iMac to 10.4 from 10.3.9... - 2009/09/28 17:28 I need to upgrade to 10.4 but I can't figure out if I need the "full retail install version" or the "upgrade discs". There are a lot of choices on eBay! Can you please tell me how to do this?

I am also upgrading my memory to 512MB PC133 CL3/PC100 CL2 SO-DIMM for iMac G4/700-800MHz, PowerBook G3 FireWire

I am totally new to the Mac world. Here are my computer specs...

Hardware Overview:

Machine Model: iMac
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.1)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 800 MHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
Memory: 256 MB
Bus Speed: 100 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.3.4f2

My HD info is: capacity 55.89 GB, Available 47.36 GB,
Used 8.53 GB on disc

I have a 15" monitor and a DVD drive.
