Re:My G3 wont boot - 2009/09/06 16:28 No Intel machines only boot from USB as it is way to slow for PowerPC models such as G3, G4 and G5. May boot from an external Firewire connected HDD as blue and white towers come with Firewire 400.

Otherwise just fit the external HDD straight into the towewr. It is a simple job, set up as master and any IDE/EIDE HDD will do.
