Same iPod, different computer - 2009/08/20 19:05 I'm sure others have had this problem. Moved country and the originally used computer is no longer mine but I, mistakenly, used the iPod to store additional information other than music/videos/photos. Scott2 says to copy files into new iTunes but I can't even access them to copy. Once I've mastered this and saved the music, will syncing the computer to the iPod destroy the Excel and Word docs?
I can understand Apple trying to stop the swapping of music files but this is frustrating to the extreme when it is my music and my files I can't access.

Re:Same iPod, different computer - 2009/08/26 16:59 Hi, This should work, go into iTunes preferences--Devices, tick 'Disable automatic syncing for iPhones and iPods' then connect the iPod. When iTunes see the iPod click on its icon, on main iPod page, tick 'Enable disk use' you should now beable to drag items to and from the iPod icon on your desk top, much like a flash drive. iTunes help explains this with more detail as well.

Hope this helps.
