need help with keyboard shortcuts - 2006/07/23 15:04 I have an older eMac G4 (700/128) with a combo drive. I operate in system 9.2 only. Silly me, I dumped water allover my keyboard and am shopping for a replacement.

All of my non-apple replacement options are without the "open drive" and "volumn" shortcut keys. How do I program a new keyboard to perform these functions?

Re:need help with keyboard shortcuts - 2006/08/02 01:19 You may have to get an Apple KB for those options. I found a nice new eMac white KB on eBay for about $20.00.

I do remember somebody posting about an app that programs the keys on non-Apple keyboards but I cannot remember the name of it. I don't think it did everything they wanted ot to do though.

Eject CD is "command E" but the icon has to be selected for it to work. OS X is the F12 key.

Volume is "command up-arrow & command down-arrow keys on some apps.
