New Keyboard? - 2009/06/28 11:19 I have an iBook PowerBook4,3, A1005, 800 MHz 12".
It has had very little use.
The "9" has not worked for a long time, maybe even from when it was new.
The "Delete" has now stopped working.

I took out keyboard and unplugged, plugged back in, did not help.

If I replace the keyboard with a new/refurbished one ($50), what are the odds that this will cure it, make it work OK?

Thanks.

Larry

Re:New Keyboard? - 2009/06/28 11:57 The odds are very good that the problem keys are the keyboard itself. You can try a USB keyboard to make sure there is not a software problem but replacing the keyboard should fix it.

Personally I would find a good used keyboard on ebay for much less than $50.00. Just make sure it's guaranteed 100% functional.
