Re:Issues Installing OS 10.3 Panther on a G4 - 2009/06/23 17:25 Jim if it is an upgrade disc you would require the previous version, Jaguar OS X.2. Think if you want Panther the black coloured full retail install DVD is the only way to go. If you did buy Jaguar and then upgrade and had problems, have to install both again.

Upgrade discs do not give the option of a new install only the upgrade.
