Did you get 3 disks for installing Panther ?

What does the disk look like and have printed on it ?

And you should get a larger drive than the 9GB drive you are using. You can get any 120GB or smaller 3.5" IDE drive for your G4. Especially since you should have 20% free space on the boot drive for the OS to use.
