Upgrading Processor Speed - 2009/06/16 21:33 I am looking at purchasing a G3 10.4 tiger 500mhz, 128mb base apple, and I want to upgrade the processor speed to 800 or 900mhz, and memory to 512mb.

My question is "Is it possible to upgrade this memory, how high can I go, and the what's the best compatible apple products to use.

Thanks

Re:Upgrading Processor Speed - 2009/06/17 18:05 If this is an iBook there are no processor upgrades The processor is soldered on the board.

If it's a 500MHz G3 Pismo Powerbook there are processor upgrades available but are very expensive. And I don't think anyone makes them anymore so you may have to buy on the used market.

512MB of RAM is no problem. Click on OWC's ad on this page and search their site for your model and what is available.
