MacMini audio OUT to HDTV - 2009/04/20 00:15 Since I don't see anyone else having this problem, I guess I have to be the only one who has run into this problem. While I can put the MacMini (2007 version) desktop on the HDTV, no matter how I try I cannot receive any audio from the MacMini when I use the PC digital connection on the HDTV. No one so far has been able to come up with a solution that doesn't cost an arm and a leg on other forums. Surely Apple didn't foist this problem off on us without commenting on it at all ? If Apple can put HDMI on the Apple TV, despite what Steve Jobs thinks about HDMI, why on earth didn't they use HDMI on the latest MacMini (2009 version) ? It sure would have saved me a lot of grief.

Re:MacMini audio OUT to HDTV - 2009/04/20 13:35 my only simple solution would be to run audio out to the stereo & skip the tv alltogether (for sound) and just use it as a desktop.
