Manual opening for CD tray for gooseneck imac - 2008/11/25 23:01 I have a gooseneck imac which was given to me by a friend to use as a 'boat anchor'. Here's the problem: if you turn it on, it goes through all the motions, but when it gets to the blue screen, it doesn't move past there. I'm wondering if I could start up with a cd, I might be able to reinstall the system, but it doesn't come on enough to open the cd drive by hitting the button. I'm wondering if there is some manual way to open the drive? And also, should I just figure its good for a boat anchor and forget it?

Thanks for any advice
