Read AND write CD-RW disks - 2008/10/28 18:09 I have an eMac 800, OS 10.4.11 with CD/DVD drive plus Toast 6 Titanium for burning CD's. My Mac will only let me read CD-RW which means I cannot rewrite any CD-RW. Do I need additional software or is this just the nature of the beast? Any suggestions? Thanks, Tex

Re:Read AND write CD-RW disks - 2008/10/29 15:53 Go to the Apple System Profiler>Get More Info>Disc Burning and see what is recorded there. If a CD burner is installed should read Burn Support Yes, CD Write and formats, if any.

To rewrite CD-RW have you tried inserting the disc, opening Toast, selecting Erase and then re-writing?
