Re:Os 10.3.9 or 10.4 on wallstreet - 2009/04/19 12:35
I know it was heavier and slower, but I preferred my Wall Street to the Lombard which replaced it - so much so that I ended up switching back.
One of the features I especially liked on the older units was the interchangeability of the two bays, which the Lombard lost. Two battery bays means that you can run offline forever, so long as you have at least two batteries and an external charger, as I did. You just plug in a fresh battery before removing the old one, and keep going. On trans-Atlantic flights, with two batteries and a little charger that I would plug into the "electric razor" outlet in the airplane toilets, I could actually get in 6-8 hours of work, a feat that the newer machines denied me.
Danny, I'm with you!
