Wireless G3 9.2.2 - 2008/10/18 10:19Desperately Seeking Solution! I've tried just about everything to connect my G3/9.2.2 to a network at home with a G5, 10.4 connected to a Belkin "N" router. No problem connecting from a Dell laptop but no go from the G3. Useing a Belkin 802.11b Wireless USB Network Adapter Part # F5D6050 on the G3. The lights go on and blink when I try to access but no connection. Have a Netscape 7.2 browser and I recently downloaded ICab? but still no go. I thought it might be the Netscape browser? Has anyone out there have a G3,9.2.2 on a network and if so, how? Not sure if it's appropriate, but I'm willing to offer a small reward (25.00) for the idea that will work. PLEASE-PLEASE-PLEASE! Frank B p.s. Is it possible the "N" router is not backward compatible?

Re:Wireless G3 9.2.2 - 2008/10/20 01:44I have B&WG3 running OS9.2 and a G4 running OSX .4.11 connected to the internet via a router,no problems. You mention connecting to a router but have the various innards been setup, i.e TCP/IP (IPNR Client) in the G3? The machines haven't been setup suggest you go toHelpin the G3 and Type 'Internet network Connection',that'll sort things.

Re:Wireless G3 9.2.2 - 2008/10/20 17:52I never had any luck with Belkin drivers. I did use the same card in a G3 Lombard Powerbook with OS 10.3 using Apple Airport driver though.
The only cards I ever used successfully in OS 9 were the WaveLan/Orinoco cards. You can find them cheap on eBay or the LEM Swaplist and they are recognized as an Airport card. (Uses the same chipset)
Check out this site for more info on what you can use with your Powerbook:
