G4 Won't Stay Asleep - 2006/07/05 06:57 I have G4 MMD Single 1.25Mh running OSX 10.3.9 and it just won't stay asleep. The sleep function process goes through to sleep then immediately wakes up. This is with both the menu and power button routes.

Any ideas?

Re:G4 Won't Stay Asleep - 2006/07/05 18:25 Have you checked the System Preferences? it is possible to set the preferences to "Never to Sleep".

Next question - Have you installed a PCI card such as USB 2.0 in the machine? These quite often interefere with sleep capabilities.

Re:G4 Won't Stay Asleep - 2006/07/07 07:16 The System Preferences> Energy Saver are set correctly but I have had a SCSI PCI card installed. Prehaps this is the problem.

Re:G4 Won't Stay Asleep - 2006/07/08 19:02 You probably have found it.

Go to Apple Discussions and do a search there.

Re:G4 Won't Stay Asleep - 2006/07/09 21:46 I have a SCSI card (Adaptec) in my B&W and it doesn't interfere with the sleep mode.
