Re:arrrrrgh! how do i turn off keychain? - 2008/09/27 23:20The last thing you should do with Safari is download Firefox. Set Firefox as your default browser and trash Safari. That will end your troubles.

Re:arrrrrgh! how do i turn off keychain? - 2008/09/28 10:45ff is my primary browser. the only thing i use safari for is to log into my secondary yahoo email account--so i don't have to log out of one, log in to the other, log out of the second and then re-log in to the first. ff stays logged in to one and i do all my other net stuff using ff, and safari stays logged in to the other.
thanks for the links krow, that first one looks like it has some good ideas. i'll look aver the apple one, too, but my guess is they don't want you to know how to disable it, lol.

Re:arrrrrgh! how do i turn off keychain? - 2008/09/28 13:01Yea, that can be a pain. I use YaHoo and Gmail for different emails so I can do it all in FF tabs and avoid the hassle of running multiple browsers at the same time.
But I do use Safari for one thing, you can download Flash video files with Safari's Activity Log instead of using a FF add-on. My old G4 Mac is kinda slow and running FF 3 with extra extensions seems to slow it down more.
Here's another page with more info on the keychain
