Need help connecting to linksys wireless - 2008/09/18 16:47I was told it would be easy getting my Imac G3 400mhz system with OS 10.2.8 and 9.2.2 working to connect to the internet through my linksys wireless B router. I have not been able to dfo that. Also was told would have to upgrade to 10.3.9 to get airport card to work, if this is not so any help would be appreciated.

Re:Need help connecting to linksys wireless - 2008/09/18 19:16You shouldn't need to upgrade the system--10.2.8 is airport-friendly.
Have you set up the wireless router already? If you have, then if you turn airport on and set the connection preference to automatic, both via the Network Preference Pane, you should get a connection right away. If you've protected the router with a password, the dialogue window that asks if you want to connect to the specific network will also ask you for the password--otherwise you need nothing else.
