Mac Cube shutdown - 2008/08/21 00:27 I have a 500 Mac Cube, and recently, for no reason whatsoever (I sometimes am not even near it) the computer will shut down OR do a reset of itself.

Is this the power supply (brick) going bad? Should I look for some other problem?

Re:Mac Cube shutdown - 2008/08/21 17:02 Gard to diagnose from, this distance but would seem related to overheating which can be from the power supply, graphics card or logic board. Have you installed any new hardware lately or had a Software Update that did not completely update?

Chances are however you are on the right track with the power supply.
