2Mac/1PC Wireless Network - 2008/07/02 19:28 Currently have a network with a Belkin "N' router connected to my Mac G3 and wireless to a Dell Laptop. Just bought a G5 PPC and would like to swap for the G3. After I move the G3 I'd like to access the net from the G3 also. Do I need Airport or is there a card available for the G3?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Re:2Mac/1PC Wireless Network - 2008/07/07 22:12 The short answer is that it can be done. You did not say which Mac G3 you have. If it is an iMac, you need an Airport Card or just plug it in to the router. Another easy way is to purchase an internet bridge. I have two of the Motorola ones (about $15 on Ebay) and they work just fine. You plug them in and they pick up the wireless signal. All you do is plug in the G3 via the ethernet port. Really the easiest and cheapest way. An Airport card (original 802.1 b speed) is the only internal connection.

Now.. if you have Sawtooth or B&W, you can buy a wireless card that will go in them, but MAKE SURE it is Mac compatible. Most are not. Belkin's is...

I'll try the internet bridge.
