Re:Clock battery on 6500/225 - 2006/06/27 09:56 That's right Krow.

About the cost, with a little conversion from mexican pesos to U.S. dollars: three AA batteries: .90 dollars, plastic case: .30 dollars, electric tape, like .05 dollars, soldering... pass it away, if you have the tools, is almost free. So, the cost was around 1.25 dollars and now, three or four years after, it works flawlessly.

I didnīt solder the batteries, only wrapped the case and batteries with electric tape to be sure that no battery will lose its place or the case will brake with time and heat.

The brand new 4.5 v square battery here in Mexico is around 17.00 dollars.

Re:Clock battery on 6500/225 - 2006/06/27 13:57 Yea i just found a AAA holder at RadioShack.com for 1.69. I have the site bookmarked, And it will probably require a little soldering, but it is easy enough to work.

The batteries are not much cheaper here. Last time I looked they were $12.99. I couldn't believe the price !

The battery holder in the link is perfect. Just have to cut the old battery connector off and solder the red & black wires to the + and - leads of the holder.

Yea the holder is probably just the right size too. three AAAs in a square sounds about the right size, don't you think?

Re:Clock battery on 6500/225 - 2008/04/18 18:55 I buy batteries for my 6360 on Amazon.com very reasonable. I use search term 'Performa 6360 battery' and the correct result pops right up. The battery, in my case, is a Ray O Vac 840, but for some reason a search on that description doesn't turn up anything.
