upgrade better Mac - 2008/06/04 20:51Im trying to decide on a new mac laptop instead of my old g4 desktop. I want a 15 or 17 inch screen and like my friends titanium 17 inch power but Iwant a faster processer (more up to date) if possible. do I really need to go to a pro power book or is there a year old model that would be cheaper (dollars count) and be an upgrade over the titanium. I really like the large key spacing on the titanium.; I have an old g3 13inch laptop but keyus are too small for me.
any suggestions out there? all my work is lots of emails, sending pix, going to web sites etc.

Re:upgrade better Mac - 2008/06/05 23:59First of all, I would not get anything other than a MacIntel. No point in getting a machine that's bound to be sidelined in the not too distant future. Have you checked the Apple refurbs? I don't know if the prices there are acceptable, but for US$1650 you can get a 15" MBPro. If you're concerned about refurbished computers, don't be. They are an excellent deal.
