Powerbook g4 17" Display - 2008/05/16 08:23 Hello there , pritty new to this site , i have a problem with my powerbook , the display seems to be showing vertical lines , all different colours , a new line appears everyday pritty much , i was just wonder if there was anyway of fixing this , without buying a new display!

Re:Powerbook g4 17" Display - 2008/05/16 12:40 The display will most likely need replaced. This is a pretty common problem on the 17" displays apparently. There are a lot of 17" LCD's with problems, not just Macs and they are probably all made by the same manufacturer.

I would call Apple and see what they will do for you, and don't take no for an answer. This should not be happening on a 2-3 year old laptop that costs over $2000.
