Like I said, we in the computing trades just added the "P" to "ATA" to distinguish it from "SATA." If you see any of these terms referencing a drive, it's most likely the right one for the Pismo or any other notebook out before '06:
PATA (Ultra) ATA/n (where n=maximum burst transfer rate, for instance ATA/100) (Ultra) ATA-x (where x= transfer mode number, similar to the above. Higher is faster) IDE (older term for ATA drives) EIDE (same as above)
This being said, the Pismo uses an ATA/66 (aka ATA-4) controller bus. Any hard drive meeting this spec or better will work.
120 GB is fine. Both of the drives you list are from the same vendor and should thus have similar features. As posted in my prior reply, this is as large a drive as the system will permit on its own.
You might also be interested to learn that your Pismo can accommodate up to 1 GB of RAM if the system firmware has been updated to 4.1.8 . Should you be running OS X, this could come in handy.
