Wildblue -Google combination "screw up" - 2008/03/06 23:07 I know this does not pertain directly to this particular forum but in a round about way it does.

I am running a iMac G5 OS10.4.11 and using Version 2.1.3 (753.1/753) Mac Mail. I was using Wildblue Satellite for my server for a little over a year. They have had some bugs but nothing serious. Since Feb 29, when they combined with Google Mac Mail had been a disaster. Their Web page says to do this and solve you problems. HA! You cannot reach them by phone because of the overload of angry calls.

What happened was I was using POP and they switched me to IMAP because of the version of Mail I was using. Since then I could list a 100 problems just trying to get and read my email. Foremost of ALL when you open any downloaded email message, especially those with attachments, you have to set there and wait as the server loads the content of each email. Those with an attachment sometimes takes 2 or 3 minutes.

The only way you can delete an email is drag it to the trash. You cannot just click the delete button. And on and on.

I set my preferences not to store any emails, deletes, junkmail, etc on the server. If you do, in the Mail Activity Viewer, shows multiple operations going on and on and takes forever to download just one email.

I was wondering if anyone else is using Wildblue and if they had some of these problems and what they did to solve them. I would really appreciate any help.
