Mac Mini Microphone - 2008/01/11 13:48I just bought a Mac Mini and want to use it (among many other things) in the music room of my house for recording. One of the input to the mini is called "Line in / Optical in". I tried plugging in a cheap microphone from my Windows PC. It doesn't work. 3 questions, all answers greatly appreciated.
How can I connect a microphone to the mini?
Any recommendations on a general purpose microphone to capture me and my kids playing guitars and singing?
What is the "Line in / Optical in" port used for?
