CD/DVD recorder for an iMac G3 OS 9.2 and OS X - 2006/06/19 06:02Hello,
I'd buy a good CD/DVD recorder for an iMac G3, which could work on both OS 9.2 and OS X. Is there anyone, who can give to me some good suggestion?
Thanks a lot.

Re:CD/DVD recorder for an iMac G3 OS 9.2 and OS X - 2006/06/19 16:07Check XLR8yourmac.coms's drive compatibility database for other Mac user's reports.
Most brands of USB CD/DVD burners will work natively in OS X with an app called Patchburn. OS 9.2 may be a problem if you do not have Toast.
You'll be using USB and it will be slow for burning DVD back-ups but it works.

Re:CD/DVD recorder for an iMac G3 OS 9.2 and OS X - 2006/06/19 17:11Hi there
Always found the Pioneer 107D DVD/CDR-RW reliable and steady as a rock, particularly now there is X707 firmware update avalailable. As Krow suggests OS X will burn with Disk Utility, maybe problems with OS 9.
Roxio's Toast Titanium 6 is a good investment.
