Apple Cinema 20" LCD Monitor-problems - 2007/08/14 02:24 Dear Mac Users,
As I cannot locate a suitable forum to discuss Apple Cinema 20" LCD Monitors here looks a nice spot!
And as I have this monitor connected to my G4 mac I am therefore justified.
Great monitor although sadly things are going dim on me and as the age of the monitor creeps along I do believe i am in for some sort of part replacement/service.
The top section of the LCD screen has dimmed to the extent that it is now difficult to use unless I "squint" with both contrast and brightness adjusted to maximum,is still poor.
I have read somewhere that replacement "illumination elements" are available to replace the "worn" out units and just a matter of installation and the monitor is as good as new again.
Is there anyone out there in macland who may know of this procedure or possibly have any information that may assist my problem
mick.
