Missing Sync - 2007/02/23 00:20Yes, I'm new and it probably has already been discussed, but any opinions on it? First time Mac Owner who is converting over....

Re:Missing Sync - 2007/02/23 01:26Don't know much about it, but The Missing Sync is the only option you have if you'll be using a PocketPC/Win Mobile device or Sony PSP with a Mac.
If you use a Palm-based handheld other than Tungsten or Zire series, you will not be able to sync your appointments or contacts in Tiger's Address Book and iCal without it. You can use Palm Desktop with Tiger if you use other programs as I do; the current Entourage conduit works OK. If you do use other apps, bear in mind that Palm Desktop runs under Rosetta as it was compiled for older Mac systems. On the other hand, the latest release of Missing Sync is Universal, meaning all Macs can run it at full speed.

Re:Missing Sync - 2007/02/24 11:21Personally I've never had any reason to buy missing sync. I have 3 palm pilots (one i sync with bluetooth), A bluetooth phone, and a Psp. All of them say I need Missing sync in order to use with my mac, or with iSync, but i've never needed it, everything seems to work fine. But idk about pocket pcs.
