Discussion Q&A - Opinion Re: New iPhone? - 2007/01/15 10:50After years of speculation, the Apple iPhone finally is here. Are you thrilled by the sleek form factor, clever "multi-touch" interface, and impressive bundled software? Are you disgusted by the required two-year contract with Cingular and the lack of open third-party software development? Do you think it is a great value for the features offered or do you think it costs too much? Why or why not?

Re:Discussion Q&A - Opinion Re: New iPhone? - 2007/01/15 11:32I don't really know if I'm "disgusted" by the no third party software thing, but I'm not going to buy iPhone because of it.

Re:Discussion Q&A - Opinion Re: New iPhone? - 2007/01/15 11:53No third party apps now. Who knows about the future . . . remember that hell did freeze over, after all. What I'm not too happy about is the capacity of the little things. I need the 30 GB iPod for my music, and would like the same in the iPhone.

Re:Discussion Q&A - Opinion Re: New iPhone? - 2007/01/18 14:12I did not get the email about this until today, but I think iPhone looks so easy to use. However I would not buy it unless it came with Skype and a FTPclient. I do not think it is going to though, is it??

Re:Discussion Q&A - Opinion Re: New iPhone? - 2007/01/18 19:41I would never go with Cingular because family members and friends who have had it and could get service from Sprint, T-Mobil and others in their own home could not get service on a Cingular (in a populated area). I've heard nothing but complaints about Cingular so I guess that leaves me out getting an iPhone -- I'll be resigning with Sprint.
