Re:68k Machines - 2007/04/26 19:06
I used to have six MacPluses, a couple of Classics, Classic II, a stack of LC series machines, Quadras, and on up through some the last 68k units. I loved them, and they came to me cheap through yard sales, freebies, and school liquidations. When I moved from the West Coast back east, I simply couldn't bring them along, and couldn't find anyone interested in taking them off my hands (remember each came with a huge, weighty monitor). Alas, virtually all went to the landfill. And so it goes, enjoy your vintage Mac. It simply proves what a reliable computer Apple produced in the first place. When you consider how long the Plus has been around, that's a statement when you can still fire one up and play a game, open an application, or open a file that doesn't run on anything else.
