Corrupted Ipod - 2006/11/27 00:01 I have a 4th gen 20gb ipod and am running Windows XP on a PC. Recently updated to iTunes 7.0.2. iTunes is saying the ipod appears to be corrupt and must be restored. When I restore, the process says restore is complete and to connect to power to complete the restore. When I do this, then reconnect to iTunes, it loops back to the corrupted ipod message. I've done all the 5-R's, tried two different computers with the latest version of iTunes, different USB ports and different cables. Nothing works.

I also tried to erase the software by reformatting the disk. I connected it to the computer in both regular mode and in disk mode and tried to reformat. When I right click on the disk, the "MY Computer" program crashes. Due to this I am unable to reformat. The ipod menu works correctly and selections can be made (therefore I assume the hard disk is working), but it will not update or synch with itunes.

I've tried everything I knew and could read in existing forum topics. Does anyone have any ideas. Help would sure be appreciated. Thank you!
