PowerBook 180 - 2006/11/11 18:28 Does anyone remember the PowerBook 180? I used to have one a long time ago.

Now, I am trying to help someone who has one that was useful until it suddenly ceased to work recently.

My first guess is that it may be a PRAM Battery that has finally died.

Does anyone remember whether the Powerbook 180 had a PRAM battery and if so what was its spec and how would I get at it to replace it?

Thanks

Re:PowerBook 180 - 2006/11/12 11:20 Well folks, I still don't know where it is inside the Pb180 but I have found a supplier of CMOS battery, several in fact:

http://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/shop/productprofile.asp?Model=POWERBOOK%20180(CMOS)&ProductGroupID=1509&Brand=APPLE&DepartmentName=Computer%20Clock/cmos%20batteries&DepartmentID=141

So if anyone else is ever trying to deal with a similar problem there is at least something useful here.
