Discussion Q&A - (PRODUCT) RED? - 2006/10/22 18:52What do you think about the (PRODUCT) RED initiative? Do you think it encourages individuals who would not otherwise contribute to charity to do so? Do you think Apple and other participating companies are exploiting a worthy cause for profit? Why or why not?

Re:Discussion Q&A - (PRODUCT) RED? - 2006/10/22 20:03I find it interesting that a person (Bono) who chastises so many governments for 'not contributing enough to the African AIDS issue' has recently moved his assets from Ireland (his home) to Holland, which has a much 'friendlier' tax structure. link
'I want YOU all to give all you can of the tax dollars you collect from your citizens. Meanwhile, me and the boys from the band will be over here, paying less taxes in Holland so that they can send less'.
Seems sort of hypocritical to me.

Re:Discussion Q&A - (PRODUCT) RED? - 2006/10/22 21:59I already have a black 1g nano and am happy with it but if I was buying one today I would get the red one. It costs the same and is for a good cause. I think it will encourage people to help Africans.
