WTB: Old "Classic" Mac - 2006/05/25 17:12 I want a "Classic" mac, any model, but I really want an old AIO mac. So if you will tell me what kind of price range i should expect, i would be appreciative.

Re:WTB: Old "Classic" Mac - 2006/05/25 20:57 Why don't you go here and check out the suggested values. Most of these old Macs are collector's items, but there are a lot of people out there who don't know that and will ssell 'em cheap.

Re:WTB: Old "Classic" Mac - 2006/05/26 18:36 Greetings,

The "value" of all collector's items, as is noted in the footnote, is whatever it's worth to you. If you dig around, you probably can get an old all-in-one "Classic" Mac for free or next to nothing.

However, for one in really good shape, with original manuals and packaging, people are willing to pay for them. Wired once reported that the cardboard box from the original Macintosh 128k sold for over US$500 on eBay.

I hope this is helpful.

Best wishes,

Hey, Whizkidd!
I have an old Mac Classic. Still working the last time I fired it up. It's missing the keyboard, other than that it's okay. It's probably not worth more than $20 plus shipping. Shipping is likely to be more than the $20. What part of the country do you live in?
