PB G4 Screen - 2009/09/03 15:24Hi, if a plug an external screento the Power Book and it works but the laptop screen only shows top half does that mean all is good I just need the screnn and not cables?

Re:PB G4 Screen - 2009/09/03 20:46I'd say that going by your previous post that the screen is probably OK but the inverter cable is damaged, despite you repairing it. I'd look at getting another and replacing the existing one and this time BE CAREFUL. Make sure you get an exact same one. Probably $20 on ebay. Take note of the LCD model no. and manufacturer and buy one that fits that particular screen. From what I have read you need to match the inverter cable to the screen. On some Powerbooks, Apple used two suppliers for their screens and they used two slightly differing cables/inverters which may or may not work on the other.
