i do now manage tv on my old ibook!! :)

i got an old eyetv usb box: http://www.drbottkg.com/prod/EyeTVUSB.html and downloaded some old software from the elgato site and it works!!!

not going to throw my tv out yet... it's not the best ever ... but am pleased i got it done, (for about £7 too - so can't be bad!!).. think i can record tv now as well if i want - though probably wouldn't get much more than a couple cartoons on my 10gb hard drive!!

thanks very much for taking the time to respond... it was good to know that i wasn't onto a complete no hoper... this is my first mac, (i've had pc's for years), and i enjoying it all very much
