Re:admin password removal help please - 2009/03/23 22:51 To install Mac OS on the drive you must use Mac OS Extended format. NTFS or Fat won't work. You can either use the "Options" in the installer when you select the disk, or the open the Utilities menu at the top of the screen, then open Disk Utility to erase/format the drive to Mac OS Extended Journaled.

Since you formatted it to a Windows file system you will need to use the Disk Utility option to erase and format before the installer will recognize the drive.
