What can I NOT do with it? - 2008/07/18 08:25I am contemplating the purchase of a Powerbook G4 with either OS10.5.4 Leopard or 10.4.11 Tiger. I am a home user, and would need compatibility with iLife '08, and an ipod nano. Will this work for me? I am willing to upgrade the hardware to some extent. I do not need the "latest and greatest", but I am concerned with not being able to use some of the features of Macs which have come about since the Intel switch. Things like Mobile Me, Homepage, etc.

Re:What can I NOT do with it? - 2008/07/18 09:42The PB will be fine for what you mention. What may happen, sooner rather than later, is that you won't be able to upgrade the computer to the latest operating system, and that updates to the software will not run on the machine because you need the latest system software. If you can afford a MacIntel machine, those problems would not be an issue.
