western digital external won't mount - 2006/05/24 22:55connected via usb card to wallstreet running OSX and 9.2. i treid in both systems.
external has been properly mounted/dismounted.
when i try to access it the system says it is unreadable and wants to initialize.
anything i can/should do other than the usual shut down, check connections, reboot, etc.? in lieu of any of that working, which disk utility should i get to recover the data?

Re:western digital external won't mount - 2006/05/25 00:11If you can't get it fixed using Disc Utilities in the utilities folder in OS X, try using Disk Warrior. I have found that to be the best disk repair/salvage package on the market. I'm sure others have thier own suggestions.
