Zip 250 for Wallstreet/Lombard/Pismo - 2007/11/29 18:44 Just wondering , given the scarcity of Zip 250 drives for Wallstreets , Lombards and Pismos , whether anyone here has hacked a Zip 250 from a Dell ,HP or IBM Laptop to work in one of the above Zip 100 modules for the G3 series PBk's . They seem reasonably common in PC laptop land . I would imagine the drive mechanism would be pretty much identical and it would slot straight in to one of the Zip100 drive trays but it was the cable and plug adapter that has me thinking whether I could do this ?

Re:Zip 250 for Wallstreet/Lombard/Pismo - 2008/03/08 22:25 I don't hold too much hope for the success of this.
However, Iomega sells external USB Zip drives which will work.

Re:Zip 250 for Wallstreet/Lombard/Pismo - 2008/03/08 23:41 There is a chance it could work. People swap CD-RW, etc in the OEM CD-ROM casings in the G3 Powerbooks.

Only one way to find out ;-)
