Pismo RAM - 2008/01/02 02:49According to Apple, the Pismo only supports up to 512 MB. I see in the system info on this site that folks have been able to get 1 GB to work. Have any of y'all had success with this? Will my Pismo "see" the 512 chips?
Thanks, David

Re:Pismo RAM - 2008/01/02 06:23You can't really go by Apple's specs on older models for the max. RAM. The RAM chips have increased since the Mac was made, When the Pismo was originally sold there were no 512MB RAM sticks for it but the RAM controller can handle 1GB total.
So you can put two 512MB sticks of RAM in your Pismo. Not all 512's will work but OWC has the right RAM for the job.
